  1. JESSE TREE ADVENT CHAIN
  2.  
  3. Advent chains are a simple way to count down the days 
  4. until we celebrate God's most precious gift to us, the 
  5. Incarnation, the coming in the flesh, of His Son Our Lord 
  6. and Savior Jesus Christ.  It works much better than a
  7. calendar for 3 and 4 year olds! 
  8.  
  9. A Jesse Tree is a way of preparing forChristmas by 
  10. remembering the major events of the OldTestament,
  11. the way God prepared the world for the coming of
  12. His Son.
  13.  
  14. To make the Jesse Tree Advent Chain, simply cut along
  15. the dashed lines, then take the first strip, loop it, tape
  16. the ends to make the first link, then loop the second strip
  17. through the first link, tape the ends, and repeat until the
  18. chain is finished.  Each day tear off the appropriate link,
  19. read the Bible Verse and try the activity!
